Good Morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals,
I actually got some sleep last night as my husband fell asleep on the couch watching TV and I had no one in the bed with me snoring like a bull! lol It felt so good. I needed it because his snoring is getting worse. Well resolutions. I don't really make them my self. But lets see I like to set goals So I will give this a try. I would like to get my garden 1/2 way done this year. I have planned this garden for 3 years. It is like a secret garden just for me. It is going to be on the side of my house (huge yard) and I will have to pour a slab for my work shop (Art room) and then do brick pavers and moss and a fountain. It is actually 5 seperate gardens. One for veggies and fruit. ONe for flowers, one for bird houses, one is a water garden and one is a shade garden. Mind you they will all be small but this will be my little sanctuary. Maybe I should change the goal to just get it started. The ground work is going to take forever! So that is my goal. Today I meeting some friends for lunch, walking and window shoping I can't wait it should be fun. You all have a wonderful day and do something nice just for you today.

It is way too early for me to be up on a Monday and no less on my vacation. :-) Little man and I are off to Mtn. High with a friend and her daughter for the day to take in some snow. He is so excited about going and I can't wait to see his reaction when we actually step on the snow. Me on the otherhand is not looking forward to freezing my butt off.
I am so happy to be on vacation and had such a kick back weekend. It was nice. No plans for New Years as of yet, however on the 4th we are off to Monterey for the week. I love it up there, it's so peaceful and relaxing. I also hope that I am able to meet up with Jenn, Deann and Lori while I am there.
I am sad to see 2008 go. This has been an amazing year for me, however I know that 2009 will be just has life changing. 2008 had two major accomplishments for me. I got my LCSW and I had my surgery. These two things were two things I had dreamed of for many years that just didn't seem possible to me. They have OPENED the doors for me to bigger and better things.
2009 will be a year of change. I know it will be. I have some major life changes that I am planning for 2009. I don't normally do New Years Resolutions because I don't seem to keep them. LOL!
Okay, this was suppose to be a typeby for me. 2008 has also brought me some amazing new online friends and I hope that they are able to grow into lifelong friendships.
I am off to the snow.

Last night, DD got a new puppy. She is about 4 years old street dog, that was with Lisa (the same Oh'er that had Fresser) for about 2 years. She was well abused in young life and truly needed a forever mom, that she found last night with DD. Some J*CK A$$ cut her ears off and she had case of mange, that Lisa took care and now is clean and clear. She is about the same hight of Fresser but about 20 pound lighter. Lisa said she looks like a meercat and guess what? She does. Sits up just like they do and moves around like them. Very fast! I think DD is going to change her name to Chloe and they are working on that. Lisa told us she would chase the cat, but so far she is scared of KC. LOL Fresser and Chloe tore around the house this morning and woke the dead at 5. I guess its a good thing I am heading over to the mission inn with some freinds today or I would be mad. Well that, and OMG! it was so cute to watch.
Well time to get moving and shower and do my hair before meeting my friends.
I wish you all a great day.
Love to all

Good Morning Cali! Looking back on 2008, it has been a very productive year for me. I set some goals and met each and every one of them. I quit smoking 11 months and 9 days ago. I quit drinking Diet Pepsi (that one was hard) and had my surgery and so far have lost 98 pounds! Dayam! I have 3 more days to get the last 2 off to technically meet my goal.
2009 brings a new goal for me and that is to hit the gym and start toning these muscles! I will be donning a wet suit and diving for abalone. I know I feel better, am moving better and am relatively pain free these days. I am lovin' life!
We took our little Ranger out yesterday and went 4 wheel driving in the mud! We had a blast! We also managed to get a load of fire wood. OUr little Ranger doesn't have the best heater (it's a 1986 model and a few parts are worn out) so I wore my cuddle duds, jeans and warm socks with my new boots. Warm Toes! On top I wore cuddle duds, a turtle neck, a sweat shirt, a jacket with another jacket over the top. Add mittens and a beanie cap and I was a total warm kid! Amazing. I would recommend Cuddle Duds to anyone who gets cold a lot. They're just like skin and fit under anything and the warm-factor is amazing!
Well, time to get to work. Have a great
Yes, I'm alive and well. Thank you so much for calling out for me while I was away and without net. Its nice to kow one's missed. Where in the world is Carmen MirJANda? In California somewhere visiting friends. Yes, I went through major withdrawl without internet. lol
I will do a trip report after I get home and things have settled in a bit. But I had a wonderful time at the Modesto lunch organized by Lynne and at Jenn's last supper in Carmel Valley organized by Lori. Thank you both for organizing and than you all for making my vacation a memorable one. I had a blast at both events. I also met Sue in San Luis Obispo for lunch and we had a great time laugh, talking, and sharing experiences. Who knew fried rice was easier on the pouch than steamed? I sure didn't. Sue I went to your friend's jewelry store and bought 2 ring guards. My rings are snug ad secure now. They were wonderful, friendly people. Thank you for taking time to meet me and share your experiences!
It has, indeed, been a very good year embarking on my journey, making so much progress and meeting wonderful supportive friends.
Being in Onederland kept me ever vigilant over my calorie intake this holiday season and I continued to lose. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I'm so happy to be almost back. We got to Petaluma late, got some much needed sleep and we're going to look for a recumbent bike again today, Hopefully they're on sale and I can bring one home with me to start the new year even better.
Have a wonderful day, we're hitting the dusty trails again and should be home late today.
Hugs,

Good Morning Cali!
No big plans here for New Year's Eve, probably a quiet evening at home and see if I can stay awake long enough to welcome in the New Year, lol! Resolutions? Hmm... Probably going to try to accept things as they happen and not sweat over the stuff I cannot do anything about. That'll be a challenge... Aside from that I plan to keep working on keeping myself healthy and on track, and to try to help my husband get there too. Wishing you all a wonderful day!!

I hope everyone had a FANTASTIC Christmas holiday?!
We got moved over the weekend. Just a few things left in the storage unit to move over, going to make a run with our car and a friends pickup tonight, and we might have to do it once more tomorrow, then we can start unpacking and getting organized! I will post pics of the new place once it's in some kind of order, right now the boxes are everywhere and you can't see a thing!
No big plans for New Years. I think we are going to get a bottle of champagne, stay in, celebrate our new place and do some unpacking and organizing!
I better get to work, I have been gone since mid-day Wed and there is a ton to catch up on!
Have a great Monday!
